🏁 The GermanRacers Team Economy System (GR Coins)

Welcome to the new, comprehensive economy system from GermanRacers! To foster long-term engagement and reward both sporting fairness and community activity, we have introduced a virtual currency: GR Coins.

This document explains in detail how the system works, how you earn coins, how they are calculated, and the role your team plays in the process.

🏎️ 1. Coin System: Earnings on the Track (League & Public)
Whether in our organized league races or on our public servers, every meter driven counts. Coin totals are calculated fully automatically by our server after every race (based on the `results.json` file).

🟢 Earnings (Base & Bonuses)
The system rewards activity, perseverance, and speed:

+1 Coin for every clean race lap completed. (Example: A 30-lap race earns you 30 coins).

+2 Coin bonus for finishing the race. Anyone who completes the race without retiring early is rewarded.

+1 Coin bonus for the fastest race lap.

Podium bonuses (in-race):
🥇 1st Place: +3 Coins

🥈 2nd Place: +2 Coins

🥉 3rd Place: +1 Coin

🔴 Penalties (Deductions)
SimRacing is about fair play and discipline. The system penalizes unclean driving severely:

-1 Coin for every track limit violation (invalid lap). If you constantly leave the track, you will immediately lose your earnings! An unclean race could result in you finishing with 0 coins or even a negative balance.

-3 Coins are deducted by the stewards for every accident (collision). Regardless of severity, an accident always incurs a flat penalty of 3 coins (this also applies to the team account unless a protection item is active). 👥 2. The Team System: How Your Team Benefits
SimRacing is a team sport. The economy system is designed so that your team benefits directly from your activity.

Automatic Team Contribution: When you are a team member, you aren't just racing for your own gain! For every race where you earn coins, you automatically generate the same amount for the shared team fund (Guild Bank). Your success is therefore directly the success of the entire team.

Donations: In addition to the automatic contribution, you have the option at any time to voluntarily donate coins from your personal account to the team fund.

Taxes & Fees: To prevent inflation, the system may include a small tax (e.g., on transactions or as a regular "server rental" fee for the team). Team management must ensure the team fund remains well-stocked.
Important: If the team cannot pay its taxes and the fund slips into the red (debt), team recruitment is blocked. The team cannot accept or invite new members until the debt is settled. Tax debts accumulate over time!

💬 3. Community Activity (Homepage & Forum)
Engagement at GermanRacers is rewarded off the track as well:

Forum Posts: Creating high-quality new posts or topics automatically earns you +1 coin. (Note: Spamming is strictly monitored and results in a point deduction!)

Helpfulness (Marked as Solution): If you answer another driver's question in the forum and they mark your post as the "Solution," you receive a special helpfulness bonus (e.g., +5 coins).

Daily Login Streaks: Logging into our website on consecutive days (e.g., a 7-day streak) rewards you with additional streak bonuses. 🛒 4. What can the coins be spent on? (Prestige Shop)
Both you (as an individual driver) and your team manager can redeem the coins you’ve collected in the Prestige Shop (located in the User Control Panel).

For Individual Drivers (Personal Account):

Race Number: Reserve your personal race number for X days.

Forum & Profile Aesthetics: Visual customizations for your Driver Card and the forum (e.g., glowing names, special badges).

Tactical Items: Such as the "Late-Entry Ticket" for registering late for events.

Incognito: An item to hide your coin balance from other players on your profile and in the forum.

For Teams (Team Treasury):

Pit Box Reservation: The team can reserve the most strategically advantageous pit box for upcoming league events.

Event Influence: Very expensive items (such as the "Weather God") allow a team to influence the weather for an upcoming race.

Crash Protection: Drastically reduces coin penalties resulting from accidents.

Team Upgrades: Visual enhancements for the team page and team branding within the forum.

Hide Team Treasury: Keeps your current account balance secret from other teams.

Note: Many cosmetic items have a limited duration (e.g., 7 or 30 days) and must be renewed afterwards. Active drivers and teams have a clear advantage here!
